TALK WITH RANDYTired Of Trying To Move Forward All On Your Own?
Many people struggle with loneliness and confusion after losing a loved one. As a grief companion, Randy guides people through a process to move through the loss so they can live with purpose and joy.
Meet Randy
With the right tools, patience, and guidance, I believe everyone can grow through grief - even after significant loss.
My own personal experience with grief was a long and difficult journey, especially trying to do it on my own. Once I discovered the process to live with joy and purpose again, I began sharing this with others.Ā Through grief companionship I help clients move through the stages of hurting to healing and ultimately to hope.
I am a retired minister. I have earned degrees on the bachelor, masters, and doctoral level. After losing my wife, I studied with Dr. Alan Wolfelt at hisĀ Center for Loss & Life TransitionĀ and earned a Death and Grief Studies Certification in 2021. More recently, I have trained with Dr. Joanne Cacciatore and been certified as a Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider, 2023.Ā Ā
My Journey Through Grief
Loss changes you on a deep and very profound level.
Nothing moves. Same furniture. Same house. Same plates and forks. Same sofa and lamps. Yet, everything is different.Ā
Dianne, my person of 47 years, was gone. Her physical presence. Her spiritual being. Her sparkling personality. Her bright blue eyes. Her laughter. My comfort. My peace.Ā
It felt weird. Surreal. Painful. Lost. Hurting. Questioning. Doubting. Numb.Ā
I wanted to find her but couldnāt. I wanted to talk to her but couldnāt do that either.Ā
Simple things were overwhelming. Going to the mailbox. Paying bills. Washing dishes. Figuring out what to eat.Ā
On the surface, everything was the same. On a deeper level, life had changed forever.Ā
My awareness began to change. This was going to be a different life experience than anything I had ever lived through before.Ā
After staying stuck too long, I reached out and found support through my teacher and mentor, Dr. Alan Wolfelt.Ā
If you want to honor the life of your loved one, start by acknowledging your pain, and begin to process it in a healthy way with the support of a grief companion.
